This meditation utilizes transcendental sounds, often accompanied by music, to redirect the mind from busy thoughts and everyday worries. The word "mantra" actually means "to draw the mind away from". These mantras consist of eternal sound vibrations that possess a sacred quality not of this material world. Their vibrations are so powerful that they benefit all living beings, including animals, trees, plants, and insects. Mantras are never sold and have been freely shared for ages. This is why I like to incorporate sound baths and food blessings into my dinner or retreat experiences. This meditation utilizes transcendental sounds, often accompanied by music, to redirect the mind from busy thoughts and everyday worries. Food is an amazing and versatile source of nourishment for our body, heart, mind, and even our souls. I believe that food can absorb the emotions of the person preparing it. The ingredients undergo a kind of alchemy and can be influenced by powerful vibrations. When I prepare a meal, I like to say prayers over the ingredients and turn the whole experience into a ritual. I believe that this approach makes every ingredient taste better. I think one can taste the love and the intention put into the food. This mindset and approach to food is something I have adopted since I started my meditation practice.Food is an amazing and versatile source of nourishment for our body, heart, mind, and even our souls.
